BOOM is in its pilot phase of development.

BOOM's founders and staff come from & have worked within Michigan's non-profit ecosystem. We truly care to meet the needs of organizations that partner with BOOM.

​To better serve the network, we've identified eligibility conditions and the process for becoming a member partner of BOOM.
Eligibiilty Conditions
  1. Focus on serving vulnerable and marginalized communities in Michigan
  2. Have a demonstrated community-driven model
  3. Are in relationship with one of the existing core BOOM organizations
  4. Currently engage in organizing as a key strategy for shifting the balance of power in society
  5. Employ any of the following organizing processes to build power for marginalized communities:
    1. Electoral work
    2. Lobbying
    3. 501(c)(4) work
    4. Issue-based campaigns
    5. Base building
    6. Leadership development
    7. Membership base in decision-making positions​
Process
  1. Interested organizations must be recommended by an existing partner
  2. Interview
  3. Become endorsed by two-thirds of existing partners
